Hawea Library Activities
The Hāwea Library is a valued resource and a community hub favoured by all! Close to the local playground this little library is well used and loved! If you are travelling through or camping in one of the many beautiful nearby sites, be sure to pop in for a bit of children crafts or relax with a magazine on one of their comfortable couches.
Wriggle and Rhyme
Wriggle & Rhyme is a music-based active movement programme for children aged 0-2. Offered in partnership with Sport Otago, Wriggle & Rhyme is designed to promote brain development through active movement and music.
It also has the unintended benefit of parents socialising afterwards!
Our storytime sessions are designed for pre-schoolers aged 2-5. We entertain both children and parents with fun voices and favourite picture books.
Storytime encourages a lifelong love of reading, helps develop listening skills and is a great place for parents to meet.
The Hawea branch includes an age appropriate craft to keep little hands busy.
Monday - Wriggle & Rhyme - 10.00-10.30
Monday - Storytime - 10.30-11.30
