Stewart Island Experience :: Guided Walk
On the Stewart Island Experience, the small-group guided walks to Little River will allow you to experience the tranquillity of this amazing Island while also contributing to the Stewart Island Rakiura Community and Environment Trust (for each person completing the walk, five NZ dollars will be contributed to the Trust).
During your informative walk, you will learn about Stewart Island's historic sawmilling industry and the modern-day paua and oyster industries en route to Lee Bay. Your friendly guide will then lead you through amazingly tall native forests and along stunning coastline to Little River. You will learn about the native flora and fauna, and how the local residents are preserving the abundant bird population. You will also learn of the unique cultural and natural heritage of Stewart Island.

Global domination through tasty vegan snacks! Established in 2012, Tart Bakery is a small family owned business that prides itself on yummy, fresh food made from scratch.read more
There's not a lot that can top the smell of a good bakery in the morning. The freshly baked bread, sweet pastries and piping hot pies are enough to completely overwhelm the senses. Unfortunately they are usually off the cards for vegans due to traditional ingredients like butter and eggs. Tart Bakery is the saving grace as it is entirely free of all animal products and produces some of the most incredible baked goods in town. The fully stocked pie cabinet has all of the classic flavours—only made from plants. We're talking ‘mince and cheese’, ‘creamy chicken’ and the classic ‘sausage rolls’. If you have a sweet tooth then one look at the sweets and pastries will have you drooling—beautiful berry danishes, chocolate croissants, iced donuts and daily cakes galore. We guarantee you'll be walking out one very happy herbivore.

With a population of around 400,000 Christchurch, in Canterbury, is the South Island ’s largest city, yet much of it has the feel of a small town. Perhaps that’s why it’s known as the Garden City but with the expansive Hagley Park, Botanic Gardens, Port Hills, River Avon and numerous beaches the city certainly has an open, relaxed feel that’s hard to beat.
With its well-deserved reputation as New Zealand’s activity adventure capital you’ll never run out of activities and things to do in Queenstown, but you may run out of time! Rotorua sits on the shore of Lake Rotorua, one of sixteen lakes in the area formed by hundreds of thousands of years of eruptions from the Taupo Volcanic Zone. The area is renowned for its geothermal activity and top of any activity list is to see the bubbling mud pools that are around the region for yourself. The Waimangu Volcanic Valley offers a first hand insight into the devastation caused by the 1886 eruption of Mount Tarawera and is a great place to discover steaming volcanic craters and bubbling, spitting pools of mud!
The Nelson and Golden Bay regions, at the top of the South Island, boast enviable sunshine hours, glorious sandy beaches, safe swimming spots, lots of wildlife to look out for, and Abel Tasman National Park - an absolute must to explore, on foot, by kayak, your own craft or watertaxi. Nelson is home to a vibrant arts and crafts community with a fabulous Saturday market, and is close to award-winning wineries and family-friendly bike tracks to take you around the coast.
Napier was rebuilt after the 1931 earthquake and is now known as NZ's Art Deco City.
