A unique fun and leisurely way for all ages to enjoy the foreshore. These four wheel quad cycles leave from the Wind Wand (the distinctive and unique 45metre high motion sculpture) opposite the Puke Ariki Museum. Seats 4.
This family focused zoo has a modern free flight aviary plus a farmyard, otters and capuchin monkeys and is designed to help children of all ages to get close to a variety of animals in their unique environments. There is a large playground and picnic area. The Zoo is within easy walking distance from the city centre through Pukekua Park and has pushchair access, a playground, sun shade, toilets and picnic tables.
This wildlife park brings animals and people together by adopting a hands-on approach to the animals. Sit on a cow, tickle a pig’s tummy, hand feed possums or hold a baby rabbit. Look out for the pet eel, goldfish and rainbow trout on your native bush walk or row a boat amongst black swans. Bring a picnic and enjoy this unique wildlife experience.
The aquatic centre is an indoor/outdoor swimming complex. Great for the whole family - warm, safe and fun! Enjoy the wave pool, sauna, spa, fitness centre and other facilities all year round. Attractions include: Wave machine, water features, eight training lanes, tarzan rope, inflatable toys. There's also a 32 degree tots' pool with bubbles feature and slide. Fitness Centre, sauna, steam room and cafe on-site.
