Only 12 kilometres from the centre of Hamilton is the Appaloosa Horse Stud with its 18 beautiful Appaloosa horses and working farm with sheep and cattle. The farmstay has queen and twin rooms with separate bathroom facilities. They also have BBQ facilities, children’s play area and colour TV.
This unique motel is set in a two hectare rural park-like setting only 10 minutes from the centre of Hamilton and 5 minutes away from restaurants, supermarkets and shops. There are 12 self-contained rooms and plenty of space and grass for the children to play on, plus a barbeque beside the lawn and swimming pool in the central courtyard. Playstations and DVD players are available for rent and they have one cot and one highchair available.
This farmstay has four self-contained units, comprising two bungalows, a cottage and a chalet, plus homestead accommodation with three bedrooms. Located at the junction of State Highway 3 and Waitomo Caves Road, the Glowworm Motel is the closest motel to the famous Glowworm Caves. The motel is also close to restaurants and has a friendly, family atmosphere. They have 9 fully self-contained ground-floor units, all with fully equipped kitchen, shower and TVs. There is a large swimming pool open from November to April and a play area for the children. Cots are available on request.
This resort has so much to do you may never need to leave it! Three thermal mineral pools, hot-water hydroslides (they have New Zealand’s longest hot-water slide), bumper boats, games room and TV, plus a children’s play area and trampolines. They even have their own aviary, animals and deer park! There are picnic areas and barbecues and a restaurant is next door. Accommodation includes motels, flat, cabins, tent and power sites.
Te Aroha is a pretty rural town that makes a great base for exploring the Waikato area, Coromandel and Tauranga, all within an hour's drive! The Holiday Park was established from a 100 year old homestead with stately oak trees providing plenty of shade. Accommodation includes powered camp sites, comfy wooden cabins and fully serviced family cottages sleeping up to six people. All cabins and cottages have a television and some cooking facilities. We have 2 hot pools, one with Hydro jets ideal to massage any sore joints from the long drive and a pure mineral water hot tub, set in the rocks, with seating for 6 and open all season. You might just be blown away by the umbrella of stars and our stunning sunsets on a cold winter's night sitting in the hot mineral water. The children's play area incorporates tree swings and a trampoline. For rainy days, there is a family room which has toys and books. Older kids can pick up our free of charge wireless signal from most places to keep them entertained.
