Create and simulate your own earthquake with a computerised simulator! This hands-on interactive educational centre makes learning about the earth’s volcanic forces easy and fun for all ages. Located in the heart of the Taupo Volcanic Zone, the centre brings the past and present volcanic and geothermal features to life with wall displays, live geyser shows, a tornado machine and a cinema. Visit the shop afterwards for souvenirs and their lava lollypops.
Entry is free - just pay for activities. These include Giant Maze, Drumming, Simulated Golf, Remote-controlled boats, Model Railway and Hologram Display. Puzzle Shop and Cafe onsite, and lots of other activities. Great spot for birthday parties - catering is available.
