SCHOOLS AND GROUPS
We welcome Pre School, Primary, Intermdiate, High School and Special Needs groups.
The Arataki Honey Visitor Centre provides structured educational visits throughout the year for school groups wanting to learn about the honeybees, their unique honey making talent and the impact they have on our environment.
We provide a tour structure for primary and intermediate schools, and liaise with the high schools about content for their visit. We can cater for groups of up to 40 children at one time. We do recomend that Pre School Visits numbers are kept to around 20 -30 children as the littles ones are easily distracted by larger numbers.
The educational tour is approximately 45min - 1hour long. . If your group has been studying something specific we will endevour to cover this during the tour, so please ensure that you inform us at the time of your booking.
Bookings are required and these groups take priority at the Visitor Centre. Please contact us as soon as you have definite plans, or to ask any questions.
