EDUCATION - The National Aquarium of New Zealand offers students a unique and stimulating educational experience outside of the classroom. Students have the opportunity to come face to face with aquatic animals, reptiles and Kiwis. Educational programmes are created and presented by an enthusiastic and fully trained teaching team. In all programmes students will be involved in interactive, hands-on and enquiry-based activities. The 2-hour programmes have been developed inline with the New Zealand Curriculum Framework and cater for all education levels. The programmes focus primarily on the Living World Strand of the Science Curriculum but make links to literacy, other essential learning areas and develop the essential skills.
