Twelve Mile Delta Queenstown Canyoning Trip with the family
You will need a moderate level of fitness but no experience is necessary. This is the easier of our canyoning excursions - we work our way downstream, challenging ourselves by overcoming natural obstacles as we travel. Each obstacle or 'challenge' is demonstrated by guides, and we take the trip section by section, so there's no chance of getting left behind or stuck!
A set of action photos of your trip is ready for viewing on return.
Note: younger children love this adventure, but those between the ages of 8 and 12 are taken at the discretion of the operator.
We request that all families meet our guides and watch our trip video in order that children and parents have a full understanding of the nature of canyoning. Guides may decline to take a child on this trip if they believe them to be unhappy or unconfident after watching the video.

More on Routeburn Canyon
A scenic (45 min) drive to Glenorchy at the head of Lake Wakatipu brings you to the Routeburn Valley. In this hidden spot you'll find yourself in harmony with a spectacular environment and enjoy some serious adventure.
This is Mount Aspiring National Park - real "Lord of the Rings" country. In fact this World Heritage area is not far from several locations used in the films, and it's only a 20 minute walk through primeval rain forest.
Imagine yourself descending through a semi-granite canyon. There can't be many better ways to challenge your personal boundaries and revitalise your inner spirit. After a café stop at Glenorchy before we'll make our way back to Queenstown
