Having children cared for at home is very beneficial because siblings can be together, routines maintained, and families choose the hours they need. A nanny can assist with household tasks, so parents arrive home to spend quality time with their children. Children keep better health in home care, and nannies can care for sick children (hence parents need less time off work).

The Nanny Company offers 20 ECE hours per week for for 3 & 4 year olds, as well as other subsidies. All families need is a permanent position (of at least three months), and a 'child-safe' home. The Nanny Company provides a superior recruitment service, excellent employment documentation and payroll service all free of charge.

We pride ourselves in providing a well-trained nanny who has emotional maturity and knowledge of child development. A programme manager visits each home every month and assists nannies with recording a Learning Journal of information about each child's individual learning and development. We provide free fortnightly playgroups with access to places of educational value to all our families, nannies and children. We also provide an informative bi-monthly newsletter to all families and nannies.

Our company goal is the ‘personal touch’ and we endeavour to achieve that feeling, for every person who we come into contact with.

Just talk to us about your families childcare requirements and together we can work out your entitlements. Our subsidies are the highest non income tested in New Zealand. We can work out your Work and Income (Winz) entitlement and provide 20 ECE hours if you have a 3 or 4 year old.

Homebased Educators (Christchurch)
This option involves taking your preschooler to an Educator’s home. Each Educator cares for up to four preschool aged children in their own home. This is very cost effective, small group, in-home care. Contact us to see if we have someone located near you.

Carer Service
Does anyone other than a parent care for your child? (Grandparent, friend, family member or au pair). They will be eligible for some financial benefits through our service.
