Hours of fun for everyone!
With a flying fox (zip wire), old fashioned lolly shop, treasure hunts and wonderful buildings to explore there is plenty to keep everyone occupied for hours. Reuben Waite's General Store has fantastic gifts, souvenirs and books to browse. Of course gold fever can strike at any time and the gold mining team at the Gold Claim will teach you to pan for your own gold (and we guarantee that you'll come away with a little 'colour' for your trouble

Refreshments
The Beehive Store- Sells the yummiest ice-cream ! If you haven't tried New Zealand's famous hokey pokey or goldrush flavour this is definetly the place to do it.
Everybody's Tearooms serves a range of refreshments all day. Lunch is served from 11am - 3pm and offers main dishes such as fresh fish and pasta of the day, as well as light options e.g. toasted sandwiches. They have a great kids' menu, all dishes are $7, and include favourites such as nuggets & chips as well as a healthy kids platter option that has fruit, veggies and cheese.
