YHA Taupo is centrally located with just a 5 minute walk to the Taupo town centre and the lakefront. Accommodation consists of dormitory or family rooms with double bed and set of bunks (one with ensuite bathroom),in the main building, plus a fully self-contained lodge which is perfect for group or large family accommodation. The grounds around YHA Taupo have tent site accommodation, a BBQ picnic area, garden and hammocks. Accent on Taupo Motel
Situated on Lake Terrace in Two Mile Bay, this recently refurbished motel has spacious rooms with super king size beds and kitchenettes. Rooms can accommodate an extra person on a single roll-away at an extra cost of $15 and a portacot and highchair are available on request. There is a trampoline for the children to play on and a four acre reserve backs onto the motel with swimming beaches, walks and restaurants nearby. Enjoy lake views from the sunny decks, cook on the BBQ or relax in their large private spa room. Accommodation ranges from a cottage which sleeps one to four to studios for one to two persons.
