Willowbank Wildlife Reserve - Family activity Christchurch
This is your guaranteed opportunity to see a real kiwi! This is a fantastic place for all the family as the range of experiences ensures there is something for everyone. For the littlies, ‘Heritage New Zealand’ provides an opportunity to see up close, feed and even touch a range of delightful animals including Kune Kune (pigs), rare breeds of sheep and cattle, Clydesdales, miniature horses, goats, sheep and much more. They will also enjoy the animals of ‘Wild New Zealand’ which include wallabies, gibbons, chimps, monkeys, otters and the ring tailed lemurs. The older children will enjoy the wonder of spotting kiwi in an open and natural environment and learn about introduced pests, New Zealand’s natural history and will (we promise!) be captivated by the huge range of fascinating wildlife. When you are all worn out, pop into the Café and refresh yourselves!

PRICE  Adult $25, Child $10, Family $60 (2 adults plus 3 children)

FAMILY DEAL  Family Pass is at a discounted rate of $60 for 2 adults & a maximum of 3 children. An Annual Family Pass is also available allowing unlimited entry for one year. (conditions apply)

ANNUAL PASSES (Kiwi Card) Adult $49, Child $19, Family $99

HOURS  9.30am to 30 minutes before dusk. Escorted tours through Natural NZ area until 10pm.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES  These are held on Saturdays and Sundays
Lunch Options: A choice of Hot Dog and Chips, Chicken Nuggets and Chips, Fish and Chips, Fresh Fruit & Cheese, Kebabs or other options on the a la carte menu. (Birthday meal includes jugs of fizzy drink or juice plus Party Pack for each child - contains a lollipop, cookie biscuit, party hat and mask.)

Cost includes entry into the park for the children in the party but does not include adult entry or any refreshments for adults.

EXTRA STUFF 
Donkey rides and face painting on weekends and holidays. Most school holidays a Junior Keeper for the Day is held where children between 10 and 14 years join up with a keeper to learn, feed & care for the wildlife. For enquiries phone Dianne Ressells at 359 6226

Café with a la carte dining and snack food available during the day. Buffet dining available every evening and a la carte on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
This is a hands-on experience. Animal, bird and eel food sold to feed to certain wildlife.
