Hire a sightseeing taxi (see p14) or drive yourself – and visit the Lakes District Museum, Lots for Tots, cafés, the Arrow River and more.

Day Trip to Milford Sound

It may be fine at Milford Sound even if it’s rainy in town. Otherwise the waterfalls are spectacular in the rain.

Day Trip to Wanaka

Stay dry and visit Puzzling World, the National Transport and Toy Museum, Clip ‘N Climb and ‘Have a Shot’ indoor target shooting or get wet and have a play at the Wanaka Community Pool.
